The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) has announced the selection of the proposal “Metabolic Diseases: the epidemics of the 21st Century” as an outstanding contribution to the Science4Policy project. Dr. Yolanda Sanz, Research Professor of the Microbiome, Nutrition and Health Group at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA), will participate in the drafting of a Science for Public Policy report on this type of Pathologies.
The Science4Policy collection has 6 reports on topics of current concern to science and society: food and sustainability, antibiotic resistant bacteria, science for policy, forest fires, energy and droughts.
The Microbiome, Nutrition and Health group will address the involvement of the gut microbiome in metabolic diseases and the tools its research can provide.
