On Thursday, 20th May, our colleague Marta Olivares participated in the reading club "NutriLecturas" coordinated by Dr. Jara Pérez from ICTAN-CSIC. "NutriLecturas" is an initiative supported by the FECYT and aims to promote open scientific reading clubs in research centers. A probiotic to prevent and treat obesity and its cormobilities

As you can read in the article published by CSIC (read article), our research group at IATA-CSIC, led by Prof. Yolanda Sanz, has developed a probiotic that prevents and treats obesity and its associated diseases (cormobilities). The project to advance in future commercialization is funded by the Agència Valenciana de la Innovació (AVI) and is being carried out in collaboration with the Instituto Tecnológico de la Industria Agroalimentaria (AINIA). On 27 April our IATA-CSIC research group attended the annual consortium meeting of the European project CIRCLES: Control of microbiome circulation to improve food systems, part of the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Union.
